Taking the forgotten cars and trucks and bringing them back to life!
As a certified ASE Master Mechanic for my day job for the past 28 years, I finally decided it was time to venture on my own and work on the cars and trucks I really love, so here it is, it's never too late to start something.....
It really all started with my childhood, when I started sanding down and repainting Hot Wheel cars and welding pieces on our plastic model cars to customize them, I knew I wanted to build my own cars, with one goal.....TO DRIVE THEM! While I have found that this angers some when they see me driving my '53 Ford in a snowstorm, I simply tell them "That's what it's for!" I Recycle, Reuse and Rebuild" and when the time comes again, she will be repainted.
We love to drive down back country roads to find those gems that time has forgotten. Whether it is a full car or truck or just the frame and part of a cab, our goal is to bring back the beauty in these cars in an affordable way for others to enjoy. Our cars are meant to be driven daily.
You may see us from time to time at local cars shows or driving around in the cars we build. Some may be finished and ready to go and sometimes you just can't wait to drive, even if its primed, with no interior! You can always check back here to the website to see what our current build is or sneak peaks at what is coming or what we have available for classic cars for sale........
This is the truck that really started it all. While I have built many in the past, this was my ultimate test so far. It was a daily driver when I first purchased it. My son at the time could barely reach the fenders and as he slid his hand over the fender he asked, "Daddy can we buy her?" We managed to scrap the money together, still don't know how, and it was ours. We drove it everywhere. To the lake, the grocery store, he wanted this truck and always had the window seat, Mom had to sit in the middle. Unfortunately, one day driving home from work, the truck was totaled. I won't go into how, but it broke me, and it sat in my driveway for the next 10 years, as every time I attempted to work on it, I just got mad all over again. Finally, my wife and kids pushed me past that, and we started the build. Friends found old cabs in woods. My brother found a full truck to get parts from and we got to work. It took 4 different trucks to get her back together. With my sons helping to weld, and my daughter doing hours of sanding, and my wife learning to mix paint amongst more hours of sanding, we finally got her back on the road. It was a long road but definitely worth it, and the best part is this truck brought everyone together to play a part in the build, whether it was a debate about the color, which my wife's best friend picked out, the wheels, engine, it was all good times. And as I am sitting here typing this, my daughter has yet again stolen the truck to go to Cars and Coffee, but I wouldn't have it any other way!!
